Pay a talent and release funds

Payment protection on the recruiter side: lock, deliverable validation, release, and disputes.

Meyandy holds your payment securely until you validate delivery. The talent is reassured; you stay in control.

When you accept an application, Meyandy shows the budget, applicable country rate, known fees, and net amount intended for the talent. Check this summary before confirming.

Payment uses the provider offered for your country: Swychr for supported Mobile Money flows or Stripe for cards when available. Meyandy waits for provider confirmation and does not request payout to the talent before delivery approval or dispute resolution.

During execution, you can:

  • Chat
  • Request checkpoints
  • Cancel by mutual agreement (refund after 10% deduction)

Visible statuses:

  • In progress: talent is working
  • Awaiting validation: deliverable sent
  • Validated: funds released

When the talent clicks Deliver, you get a notification + email. On the mission page:

  1. Review the attached deliverables (files, URLs, messages)
  2. If compliant → click Validate delivery
  3. If adjustments needed → click Request changes with a precise comment

You have 7 days to validate. Past that, the mission is auto-validated (talent protection).

After approval, you are invited to leave a 1-to-5-star rating and an optional public comment.

The review is linked to the eligible collaboration and contributes to the displayed reputation. It does not automatically create a skills or identity badge.

If the deliverable is far from the brief and the talent refuses to fix it:

  1. click Open dispute;
  2. describe the gaps precisely and attach useful evidence;
  3. follow the status and answer moderator requests.

Outcomes may include full or partial payout, an eligible refund, or a return to discussion. The decision gives reasons and a review request can be sent to support within 14 days.
