Use Meyandy messaging safely
Internal message and payment-status history provides useful evidence in a dispute. A transaction made outside Meyandy cannot be reviewed in that process.
Off-platform exchanges and payments are difficult to verify. Here is how to preserve useful collaboration evidence in Meyandy.
- Encryption in transit + at rest
- Timestamps on every message (used as evidence in disputes)
- Attachments (max 10 MB): briefs, mockups, deliverables
- Email + WhatsApp notifications so you never miss a thing
- Permanent history even after the mission ends
All of this matters: the Meyandy moderator reviews messaging when a dispute arises.
If a talent asks for WhatsApp, email, or direct phone:
- Politely decline — sometimes it's a naïve request
- Explain that payment protection only covers in-app exchanges
- If they insist or become aggressive → Report via ⋯ in the conversation
Why: leaving messaging exposes you. If the talent disappears with a deposit paid directly via Mobile Money, Meyandy cannot act — the transaction never transited the secured payment system.
As soon as the conversation opens (shortlist or acceptance), send a recap brief covering:
- Mission goal in 1 sentence
- Exact deliverables (numbered list)
- Constraints (stack, brand, deadlines)
- Acceptance criteria
This timestamped message becomes the reference contract in case of disagreement. Without a written brief, you lose disputes.
For multi-phase missions:
- Ask for written checkpoints ("Okay with the art direction" / "I validate the mockups, you can move to dev")
- Avoid verbal validations over call — if doubts arise, no writing = no proof
- Use attachments for heavy files (don't send them via WeTransfer off-platform)
Messaging strictly forbids:
- Illegal content (drugs, weapons, counterfeits)
- Harassment or discriminatory speech
- Off-mission proposals (dating, sexual solicitation)
- Sharing personal financial info (credit card, bank account) — Meyandy NEVER asks for these by message
Any problematic message can be reported in one click. The moderator automatically receives the timestamped evidence.
Golden rule: if someone pushes you to leave the platform, ask yourself why. On Meyandy, payment protection, encryption, and moderation are there for you. Outside, you're on your own.
